Welcome to the Kenyon Hall Farm Blog!

I've created this blog as a place to publish articles about what's happening on the farm. The posts here will go into more depth than is possible on the other pages of the website and in our pithy social media posts. We deliberately keep those succinct to avoid the key messages getting lost. That doesn't always work.

This page will allow me to provide more detailed information about the farm - to answer common questions and give updates to what we're planning next. For those with a curiosity for farming, growing, food, fruit, health and even what it's like trying to run a small business with your parents, I hope you'll find some of the articles here interesting.

As I write this I have two children under 4 running around my ankles with a third due to arrive next month. With these domestic duties as well as a small business to run, a (fantastic) team of staff to look after and a strawberry season to prepare for, I'm not making any promises on the number and frequency of articles here. But I'll do my best to find a few minutes every now and then to answer questions that keep cropping up.

And in terms of the biggest question on everyone's lips at the moment, there's only one place to start...

I'm James Bulmer. Born and raised on Kenyon Hall Farm, where I spent the first 18 years of my life. After university I spent a decade working in IT (specialising in making maps on computers) before returning to the farm in 2016 to help out my mum and dad. I hope you enjoy these occasional posts and please get in touch if there's something you'd like to know more about and I'll do my best to answer!
