CURRENT AVAILABILITY
Saturday 27 July: We are FULLY BOOKED for strawberry picking and cannot accommodate walk-in visitors without a ticket. Fields open 9.30am, last entry 4pm.

The strawberry tickets are expected to sell out within seconds - there is huge demand at the moment and we can't release enough tickets to allow everyone who wants to visit to come. We can only apologise in advance for any disappointment caused for those who miss out on this occasion.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT
When is fruit picking available?
The first crop of the year is strawberries and these are ready from early June to the end of August. During this time, the strawberry fields open around 4-5 times a week. All the other fruit & veg we grow is also available during these 3 months of June, July and August. Click here to see our approximate availability calendar.
When do I book strawberry picking tickets?
Growing fruit is unpredictable and we don't know exactly when there will be strawberries to pick until just before they are ready. We only take bookings when we're certain there are enough ripe strawberries to open the fields on a certain day. We usually make this decision 1-2 days in advance, and so bookings open 1-2 days in advance. It's not possible to book several days or weeks ahead of your visit.
How do I book strawberry picking tickets?
All bookings for strawberry picking are made online, right here on this page you are reading now. When there are tickets available, a black button saying 'BOOK NOW' is displayed above. If there is no black button, then there are no tickets available to book right now. It's not possible to book by phone, email or at the farm.
Are dogs allowed?
Although dogs are welcome in our grass car park, café conservatory, outdoor seating area and plant centre, unfortunately we can't allow them into the fruit fields for hygiene reasons.
Can I get a pram or wheelchair to the fruit fields?
We're happy for prams and wheelchairs to go to the fruit and veg fields. The access tracks are a mixture of grass and gravel, so most sturdy prams and wheelchairs can access in dry conditions. If it is wet underfoot, access will depend on the type of pram or wheelchair.
I'm a carer, do I need a strawberry picking ticket?
If you are visiting in a purely professional capacity to assist someone for whom you are employed to care for, you do not need to book a ticket for yourself, just for the person you care for. In this event, once you have made the booking please reply to your confirmation email to advise us to expect an additional person as part of the booking.
Can I make a large group booking?
Subject to availability, you can book as many tickets as you like via this page when they go on sale. Unfortunately we’re unable to take advanced bookings for large groups (e.g. birthday parties) due to the uncertainty of knowing in advance on what days we will be picking strawberries and how many tickets we will have available.

ON THE DAY
Can I eat fruit in the fields?
No, it is not permitted to eat our fruit in the fields - it must be paid for before consuming. We recommend all fruit is thoroughly washed before eating.
How do I pick strawberries?
Strawberry picking is easy when you know how - click here to learn how to choose the perfect strawberries!
Do you take cards?
Yes, we take card payments (including Apple Pay) as well as cash.
What should I wear?
We open in all weathers so please dress for the occasion. We suggest wearing sturdy shoes in dry conditions and wellies when wet. We also recommend small children wear trousers to protect their ankles from prickles. Inside the strawberry tunnels can get very hot, so wear light clothing, hats and sun screen.
How much can I pick?
In addition to the complimentary fruit included with entry, you can pick as much or as little as you like - we have containers of all sizes available. We do ask that you pay for everything you pick.
Can I bring my own containers?
Yes. Although we provide complimentary containers to all visitors, we’re happy for you to bring your own containers to pick into, and help reduce packaging waste. If you do this, please ask us to weigh your containers on entry, so we can deduct the weight of the container off the price of the fruit at the end of your visit.
How long can I stay?
There is no time limit on the length of time you can spend picking or how long you stay at the farm.
What else can we do at the farm?
We have a farm shop, café and plant centre open every day all year round. There’s no need to book for any of these, just pop in before or after you’ve been picking to stock up on some fresh food, drink and gifts! We also have an outdoor play area with swings, slides and vintage farm equipment to enjoy.
How is the fruit grown?
All of our strawberries are now grown on 'table tops' - rows of elevated plants at waist height to an adult. Some are inside polytunnels and some are outdoors. We no longer grow any in the ground. The 'table tops' make the strawberries much better quality, cleaner and easier to pick without the need for bending over. Toddlers may need assistance in reaching some of the strawberries. All our other fruit and veg are grown outdoors in the soil.

ABOUT MY STRAWBERRY BOOKING
Do I receive tickets?
We don't issue tickets. On arrival you just need to give your name and order number from your booking confirmation email - no need to print anything.
Do I get a confirmation email?
When you make a strawberry picking booking you should receive a confirmation email almost immediately. If you haven't received this, please email: [email protected] with the full name used during booking and the date/time you attempted to book for. We can advise whether the booking has been successful and if so re-send the confirmation email.
I’m running late for my booking...
Don’t worry! Although it helps prevent over-crowding if visitors come within their arrival window, we will not turn anyone away who arrives slightly early or late for their booking. In this event, we will fit you in between ticket holders at the first opportunity after you arrive. There is no need to contact us to advise us of this. If you are seriously delayed (over 30 minutes late) please ring us on 01925 765531 to discuss.
I need to add someone to my booking...
We are happy to accommodate one extra visitor as part of your group booking, without them needing to buy a ticket online. We will take payment from them on arrival and there is no need to notify us in advance. If you would like to add more than one person to your booking, this is harder to accommodate and we’d ask you to reply to your confirmation email with your request so as the ticketing team can assess whether it will be possible.
What happens if it's raining?
Our fruit fields open in all weathers, unless there is a safety risk due to extreme weather such as lightning. If it is raining when you are due to visit, please dress for the weather (including wellies) and come along as planned. During inclement weather we are happy to be more flexible on entry times, so you are welcome to come earlier or later than your arrival window to avoid the worst of the weather and we will accommodate you when you land.
I can no longer attend my booking...
Regrettably, as per the T&Cs agreed during the booking process, we are unable to refund or re-arrange any strawberry picking bookings under any circumstances. We are happy for you to pass your tickets on to friends or family to use and there is no need to notify us of this – they just need to give your name and booking number on arrival. Click here to read more information on this.
