BAKER (MATERNITY COVER)
Join the dedicated team at Kenyon Hall Farm as a Baker, where your culinary skills will directly contribute to our vibrant farm shop and cafe!
We are looking for someone to work an average of 4 or 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, for approximately 9 months from now until July 2025, covering the maternity period of our current baker. After this maternity cover we are optimistic there would be opportunities available to continue working in the Kenyon Hall Farm cafe further into the future. There can be flexibility in the timing of the shifts and the specific days worked each week.
In this role, you will create a variety of baked goods using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring every product meets our high-quality standards. Collaborate closely with our team to innovate and introduce new recipes to delight our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to Kenyon Hall Farm's recipes and standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient production and high-quality results.
- Apply creative skills to develop new recipes and products that align with our ethos and meet customer preferences.
- Manage time efficiently to meet daily production targets without compromising on quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and special orders, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
- Cake baking and decorating.
- Ingredient measurement and oven operation.
- Recipe development and flavour profiling.
- Self-supervision and time management.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
