Baker (Maternity Cover)
Join the dedicated team at Kenyon Hall Farm as a Baker, where your culinary skills will directly contribute to our vibrant farm shop and cafe!
We are looking for someone to work an average of 4 days a week, 8 hours a day, for approximately 10 months from September 2024 to July 2025, covering the maternity period of our current baker. After this maternity cover we are optimistic there would be opportunities available to continue working in the Kenyon Hall Farm cafe further into the future. There can be flexibility in the timing of the shifts and the specific days worked each week.
In this role, you will create a variety of baked goods using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring every product meets our high-quality standards. - Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to Kenyon Hall Farm's recipes and standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients and communicate any needs for replenishment in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient production and high-quality results.
- Apply creative skills to develop new recipes and products that align with our ethos and meet customer preferences.
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of baking equipment, addressing any issues or malfunctions promptly.
- Manage time efficiently to meet daily production targets without compromising on quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and special orders, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

CHEF (FULL TIME)
A rare opportunity has opened up to join the cafe team at Kenyon Hall Farm as a Chef!
Working in our open-plan kitchen you will be responsible for cooking top-quality breakfasts and lunches to order for our discerning visitors, as well as producing the jam, chutney and savouries sold in our farm shop. We cook from scratch, using home-grown and locally-sourced fresh ingredients to show off the very best food the northwest has to offer. The ideal candidate will share this passion for local, seasonal food and thrive in collaborating with our team to innovate and introduce new recipes to delight our customers.

We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, who can handle pressure for prolonged periods, work calmly with colleagues and maintain the friendly, positive atmosphere we encourage across the farm. With the kitchen being open-plan, good presentation, cleanliness and hygiene are essential.
We are looking for someone to work 5 days a week, all year round, for 8 hours a day, with no evening work required. Weekend work is essential and we will discuss a suitable shift pattern with the right candidate.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our friendly team in the Kenyon Hall Cafe as a Kitchen Porter.
The role includes washing up, portering items around the kitchen, waiting on tables, cleaning and anything else that's required to keep the cafe clean, tidy and running smoothly. No experience is necessary - just a can-do attitude and an eye for detail.
Shifts are available up to 5 days a week and must include at least one weekend day a week. The cafe is open from 9am to 5pm and so your working hours will be between these times, with no evening work necessary. Shifts are usually 5 - 8 hours a day. We pay the National Living Wage for your age.
