Planting Pumpkins

Join us in the May half term when we'll be Planting Pumpkins!

We grow 15,000 pumpkins ready for picking every October and need your help to plant them! The 45 minute session, aimed at children aged 3 -13 years old, combines hands-on fun with a little learning:
  • Understand how we grow our pumpkins and other food crops.
  • Visit our pumpkin patch where each child will get to plant a pumpkin by hand.
  • Plant a sunflower to take home, nurture and grow over the summer.
Tickets cost £7.95 per child; it's free for accompanying adults (max 2 per child) and non-participating younger siblings.

Terms & Conditions:
  1. Bookings are non-refundable and non-changeable. Click here for more information.
  2. Tickets are required for all children except non-participating siblings under 12 months.
  3. All children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Accompanying adults do not need a ticket. Maximum 2 adults per family group.
  4. The sessions run in all weathers and take place in a sheltered classroom and out and about on the farm. Please dress for the weather.
  5. Participation in this session does not give ticket-holders automatic access to the pumpkin patch for picking in October. Separate tickets will go on sale for pumpkin picking nearer the time.
