About the Role:
As a Plant Centre Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our expert plant department. This role is perfect for someone with a strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, and gardening, who loves interacting with customers and thrives in an outdoor environment. We are happy to hear from you if you are interested in working 3-5 days a week, all year round, including at least one weekend day per week and with minimal time off during the busy plant season from March to August.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers in choosing plants, offering advice on care, maintenance, and placement.
- Maintaining and caring for our plants to ensure they remain healthy and attractive.
- Re-stocking displays and keeping the plant centre tidy and well-organized.
- Operating the till, handling customer transactions and providing guidance on our products.
- Assisting in the farm shop and seasonal events teams when required to support the wider business.
- Demonstrably strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, and general gardening. Formal qualifications desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A pro-active and hands-on approach, with the ability to multitask, learn quickly and retain information.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in polytunnels in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience in a plant centre, garden centre, or similar environment is preferred.
- Work in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by nature.
