The vast majority of Kenyon Hall Farm’s 400 acres is comprised of cereal and potato crops. However, since 1978, 50 acres has been dedicated to growing a variety of horticultural crops. These are sold exclusively through the on-site farm shop, café, plant centre, pick-your-own experience, as well as through Northern Harvest – the farm’s home delivery service. Open to the public all year round the seasonal highlights include asparagus and bedding plants (spring), pick-your-own fruit (summer), pumpkin festival (autumn) and Christmas trees (winter). Seasonal attractions are growing in popularity each year – in particular the pick-your-own fruit and the pumpkin festival – with people increasingly valuing an affordable, wholesome visit to the farm for a family day out. The farm’s delighted to employ a team of friendly and knowledgeable locals, and customers value the traditional, welcoming atmosphere that results. The farm shop and café are the year-round mainstay of the business and both pride themselves on selling locally sourced, tasty, seasonal produce – rewarded with 5 Great Taste Awards to date. The farm works closely with other local producers to complement the home-grown food with other high-class produce. 2,000 customers are part of the farm’s loyalty scheme, as well as having 16,000 followers on Facebook.
